The ski areas
Corviglia, right above the village, offers sunny cruising runs. Corvatsch rises to over 3,300 m with views over the Engadin lakes, and Diavolezza has a famous glacier descent. Snow is reliable thanks to the high valley floor.
Where to stay
- St. Moritz Dorf — luxury boutiques, grand hotels and the Corviglia funicular.
- St. Moritz Bad — calmer, near the lake and cross-country trails.
- Pontresina & Celerina — quieter villages a few minutes away.
When to go
The season runs from late November to early April. February is famous for events on the frozen lake, and March brings sunny, long ski days.
Getting there
From Zurich, the train takes about 3 hours via Chur — the final stretch on the scenic Albula line is part of a UNESCO World Heritage railway. You can also arrive on the Glacier Express from Zermatt.
