The ski area
From Verbier, lifts climb to Mont Fort and its glacier, with famous off-piste faces and long runs. The 4 Vallées links Verbier with Nendaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon, so there is plenty for intermediates too.
Where to stay
- Verbier — the sunny main village, chalets with valley views and lively après-ski.
- Le Châble (Val de Bagnes) — down the valley, with a gondola up to Verbier and a train station.
- Nendaz — calmer and family-friendly, on the other side of the 4 Vallées.
When to go
The season runs from early December to late April. January and February bring the best powder for freeride; March is perfect for sunny piste days.
Getting there
Geneva airport is about 2 hours by road. By train, travel to Le Châble and take the gondola straight up to Verbier.
